Welcome 6th Grade Biome Experts
Let us Review: Biomes are the worlds major communities made up of biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) factors. Biomes are the homes of all different kinds of insects, animals, plants, and people that live in a certain type of climate.

On this blog we will discuss the major biomes we have learned. There will be 6 groups and each group has been assigned a biome below:
GROUP 1: Artic Tundra- Matt, Dylan, Michelle, and Liz
GROUP 2: Tropical Rainforest- Ella, Janice, Nick, and Mike
GROUP 3: Temperate Forest- Jordan, Ashley, Nick, and Taylor
GROUP 4: Desert- Fran, Amanda, Anthony, and Danny
GROUP 5- Fresh Water - Eric, Mark, Nicole, and Pam
GROUP 6- Saltwater- Kristen, John, Sara, and Andrew
Here is what you have to do:
Answer the following questions
- State if your biome is either terrestrial or aquatic.
- Where in the world can you find your biome?
- What is the climate of your biome? Make sure to include the temperature, rainfall, and seasons that occur in your biome.
- What is your biome's soil conditions?
- What plants grow in your biome?
- What animals can be found in your biome?
- LASTLY, think about where you live. How is this biome similar to where you live? How is it different?
DO NOT FORGET:
Include different pictures of your biome.
Include at least one video of your biome.
